Many people think that the end times biblical prophecies about the antichrist, 666, the end of the world , Israel, Zionism, the Battle of Armageddon are still for the weirdoes, religious fanatics , oddballs, extremists, those persons who afraid to face life today, ahead of them and falsely now do look for an escape from it. The Basic problem here also is not the Bible detailed Prophecies themselves but rather how many people misinterpret them, add their views, and it seems few of them even agree with each others still. In reality even these days many Christians SADLY themselves have never studied what the Bible actually says and because of this they often wrongfully leave it to others to read the Bible for them too they thus are too easily deceived by the imposters, cults, sects, wolves in sheep clothing, false teachers, false prophets, false elders too.

I will not put a bumper sticker on my car saying “In case of rapture this car will be driverless.” Nor will I review any writings, books that engage in “left behind” theology—a kind of fundamentalist Dispensationalist paranoia about the “Great Tribulation.” fundamentalists who focus too much attention on the “rapture,” the “Great Tribulation,” and the “Antichrist” give biblical studies, all Christians a bad name.

I find it ironic that many like to talk about future prophecies, about “The great and terrible Day of the LORD” and they too often would like mainly to quote old Testament verses on this too.. and yet for some reasons few of these negative preachers like to talk about the Book of Joel. Now why is that.. cause it mentions Pentecost, the Holy Spirit’s outpouring. Joel wrote how the Spirit of God would touch His people, men and women, and they would speak; and all men of the entire world would hear and understand the words of the Holy Spirit of God, and that they would hear it and understand what was said too. This is what Peter said in Acts 2, which had happened on Pentecost Day; and is what Joel wrote that which would happen in the latter days.

Remember in Joel 1:2-3 how Joel tells the men of Judah to pass this story on from generation to generation, to the time of the end? It is important that you remember because it also pertains to all of us in the “end times”.

Joel literally means, “Jehovah is GOD” and he lived in Judah and prophesied in Jerusalem.(The “Illustrated Bible Dictionary adds, “A citizen of Jerusalem, he spoke often of the priests and their duties [1:9,13-14,16]. For this reason, many scholars believe he may have been a temple prophet. He also had an ear for nature [1:4-7], and included imagery from agriculture and the natural world in his messages. From evidence in the book itself, we can assume that he knew a great deal about Jerusalem, Judah’s capital city, and the rituals associated with Temple worship [2:15]. But he probably was not a priest, since he called upon the priests to go into mourning because of the sins of the nation [1:13].

Joel prophesied in a time of great turmoil for all the land of Judah. An enormous plague of locusts had stripped the fields of vegetation, destroyed the sheep and cattle pastures, and even the foliage of the trees. In only a few hours, what was once a beautiful and green land became a place of desolation and destruction. Contemporary descriptions of the destructive power of swarms of locusts confirm the picture drawn by Joel. The plague of locusts that Joel describes was the greatest that had been seen until then. All the harvests were lost, including the seeds for the next harvest. Famine and drought scourged the land. People and animals died. In Joel’s eyes, such great devastation had only one explanation: it brought GOD’s judgment.
